About EpicCade
EpicCade is a free browser arcade built around one idea: games that run instantly in a browser can look and feel as good as games you install.
There are 22 games, all original. Some are classics everyone knows, like Blockfall, Solitaire, Sudoku, Minesweep and Serpent. Others are full 3D games: Neon Swarm, Sky Dash, Marble Rush, Pocket Racers, Arena Blades, a first-person shooter called Neon Depths, and more. Browse them by category or start with today's daily challenges.
What makes it different
- Original games. Every game is designed and built from scratch. Familiar genres, fresh designs and our own names.
- Real-time 3D for everything. Even the classic puzzles are rendered in 3D with physically based materials, lighting, reflections and post-processing. The 3D games have a photo mode for saving a good moment.
- A daily challenge in every game. Each game has a Daily mode that is the same for every player that day, so you can compare results with friends and keep a streak going.
- Made for every device. Keyboard, mouse, touch and gamepad all work, and every control can be remapped. Graphics quality adapts to your hardware, from a three-year-old phone to a gaming desktop.
- Works offline. EpicCade is a progressive web app. Add it to your home screen if you like, and any game you have played keeps working without a connection.
- No accounts. No sign-up, no downloads, no pay-to-win. Your scores, achievements and settings are saved in your browser on your own device, and you can export them from your profile. Ads stay out of the way of the game.
How the games are made
The games are written in TypeScript and rendered with Three.js on WebGL 2. Music and sound effects are synthesised live in your browser, and most textures and shapes are generated in code, which keeps downloads small. Where a real-world asset looks better, we only use CC0 (public domain) assets and list them on the Credits page.
