A crystal falling-block puzzle that pulses with its soundtrack.
Blockfall is a falling-block puzzle built for players who care about feel. Seven shapes drop into a ten-wide well; slide and rotate them so they lock into complete rows, and full rows shatter into light. Leave gaps and the stack creeps up. Let it reach the top and the run is over.
Under the glass is a modern rule set: a fair 7-bag randomiser, a hold slot, a five-piece preview, a ghost piece, standard rotation with wall kicks, lock delay and adjustable auto-shift. T-spins, combos and back-to-back bonuses reward clever play, and every ten lines the speed rises and the world shifts through five zones, each with its own colours and music.

How to play
- Move the falling piece left and right, rotate it, and drop it into place. A row that is completely filled clears and everything above it falls down.
- The glowing outline at the bottom (the ghost) shows exactly where the piece will land. Hard drop sends it there instantly; soft drop speeds it up while keeping control.
- Press Hold to set the current piece aside and swap it back later. You can hold once per piece.
- Clearing several rows at once scores far more than clearing them one at a time. Four rows at once is a Tetra.

Tips & strategy
- Keep the stack flat and leave one column open on the side. Feeding an I piece into that well clears four rows for a Tetra.
- Use Hold to save the long I piece for when your well is ready, or to dodge an awkward shape.
- Read the preview, not just the current piece. Planning two or three pieces ahead is what separates good runs from great ones.
- Learn one T-spin setup. A T-spin double is worth more than a Tetra and keeps your back-to-back bonus alive.
- In Sprint, speed comes from fewer key presses, not frantic ones. Raise the auto-repeat speed in Settings once you're comfortable.
- Combos stack quickly: clearing a line with each of several pieces in a row adds a growing bonus.

A short history of the genre
Falling-block puzzles date back to the mid-1980s, when a simple idea from a Soviet computer lab spread across the world and became one of the best-selling game concepts ever made. The core loop has barely changed: shapes made of four squares fall, and you fit them into lines.
Over the following decades the genre grew a shared rule set: piece randomisers that guarantee fair sequences, a hold slot, previews, wall kicks that let pieces rotate in tight spaces, and scoring for spins and combos. Competitive players now clear 40 lines in well under a minute. Blockfall follows those modern conventions while giving the genre a fresh look of its own.
